Mea She'arim

 MEA SHEARIM

In the Book of Genesis it says: "Isaac sowed in that land, and in that year he reaped a hundredfold; God had blessed him.” A hundredfold, this is the translation of Mea Shearim, a district of Jerusalem that is mainly inhabited by Haredi Jews. At Ha-Shabat Square, five main roads meet in an ultimative pedestrian crossing. Like these streets, advancing modernism as well as rich Jewish tradition and its very own customs clash at this intersection, the bustling heart of Mea Shearim.
